Online Military Culture Course Launched

We're proud to announce that the first of four modules of the Military Culture: Core Competencies for Health Care Professionals course launched yesterday. The Center for Deployment Psychology helped develop and create content for this course, along with other agencies including the VA and DoD. The course is part of the Integrated Mental Health Strategies program. To view the purpose statement and CE info, click the Course link on the Military Health System site, then select "Military Culture Training for health Care Professionals" from the “Select Courses By Category” drop-down.

The course as a whole will offer a total of eight Continuing Education credits, although each module may also be taken individually.  All four modules are anticipated to be available in February 2014.

In conjunction with the official launch of Module 1 of the Core Competencies for Healthcare Providers online course, CDP has just "gone live" with the companion website on Military Culture. To view the site, click on the Military Culture tab on the CDP's website. The website features an extensive collection of educational supplements and references from the modules as well as additional professional tools, videos and other resources for providers, with new information and resources being added daily.  As additional modules come online, additional supplementary materials and course videos will be added to the site.
