Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI)
Description
This training module examines mechanisms of blast-related TBI and the signs, symptoms, severity levels, and rates of TBI in the military population. Recommendations for managing or treating mild TBI are covered, plus an overview of neuropsychological screenings and tests used to assess for TBI in and out of theater TBI. This training module also addresses the overlap between TBI and PTSD, care coordination strategies, and resources and services available to patients in the military with TBI and their families.
