Course information

The Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) is offering a two-day evidence-based workshop for Tri-Service military/DoD/GS behavioral health providers including civilian contractors at Brooke Army Medical Center, TX 8-9 May 2019 on the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Depression (CBT-D) for behavioral health providers working with Service members and Veterans.

This intensive two-day workshop provides training in the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression for behavioral health providers working with Service members. The training will begin with a discussion of depression in the military, followed by a summary of the theory underlying cognitive behavioral therapy. Participants will then learn how to conceptualize depressed patients according to this model, plan treatment, and utilize both cognitive and behavioral strategies. Participants will have the opportunity to watch video examples and practice intervention strategies through their own role plays. Attendance at both days is required.

The workshop is free and includes CEs, but any travel or expenses must be self-funded. For additional details on course content, click here

Registration

Space is limited! To be eligible you must be a Tri-Service military/DoD/GS mental health clinician (to include civilian contractors) who provides therapy to Service members at a military facility. Participants must attend the full two days to receive CEs; no partial credit will be given.
