Jeffrey H. Cook, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist serving as the Director of Training and Education for the Center for Deployment Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. In this capacity, he oversees the Center’s research efforts and program evaluation of the Center's training programs. Dr. Cook retired from the Navy after 23 years of service in the United States Navy and Marine Corps.

Dr. Cook served in various capacities during his military career including Marine reservist, Navy corpsman, and clinical psychologist. As an active duty psychologist, he served as the Mental Health Division Officer in Okinawa, Japan, ship psychologist on the U.S.S. George Washington, and as the Department Head for the Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury Program at NNMC Bethesda, MD. He deployed to Fallujah, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, as well as other brief deployments during his career.

Dr. Cook graduated from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences with a doctorate in clinical psychology and completed a clinical psychology internship at the National Naval Medical Center (NNMC), Bethesda MD. He currently serves as adjunct faculty at USUHS. Dr. Cook’s professional interests include cognitive behavioral therapy, dissemination and implementation of evidence-based treatment approaches, program evaluation, and combat-related PTSD.

Jenna Ermold, Ph.D., is a clinical psychologist working as the Assistant Director of Online Training, Technology and Telehealth for the Center for Deployment Psychology at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Ermold oversees the development of online and face-to-face trainings for behavioral health clinicians to improve clinical and cultural competency in working with military members and their families.

Dr. Ermold also presents workshops on deployment behavioral health topics for clinicians across the country. She is lead on CDP’s monthly webinar series, CDP Presents, and serves as a host on the Center’s podcast, Practical for Your Practice. She is a graduate of the Malcolm Grow (USAF) Medical Center Psychology Residency Program and served on active duty as a psychologist in the United States Air Force from 2002 to 2006. Dr. Ermold graduated from Middlebury College with a degree in psychology and English and received her doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Vermont. She specializes in military culture, health psychology, behavioral health integration into primary care, post-traumatic stress disorder, prolonged exposure therapy and military psychology.

Katrice Byrd, D.S.W., currently serves as a Military Behavioral Health Social Worker with the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP). She is co-chair of the North Carolina National Association of Social Worker’s Legislative Committee and is passionate about serving the village through research, policy, and programmatic changes.

Katrice has served as a mental health therapist with extensive training in trauma-focused interventions, working with various populations including Veterans, Active Duty, Family Members, children, adolescents, and government employees throughout her career. Dr. Byrd is a retired Veteran of the U.S. Army in addition to serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. She currently resides in Charlotte, NC.

Marjorie Weinstock, Ph.D., is a Senior Military Behavioral Health Psychologist at the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She joined the CDP in 2009 as a Deployment Behavioral Health Psychologist at the Naval Medical Center San Diego. Prior to joining the CDP, Dr. Weinstock spent three years working for the Navy’s Fleet & Family Support Program, where she provided counseling services to military members and their families.

Dr. Weinstock is a graduate of Emory University and received her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University at Buffalo. She completed her internship at the Brockton, Massachusetts VA Medical Center and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in clinical research and addictive disorders at the Brown University Training Consortium.

As the spouse of a recently retired service member, Dr. Weinstock has a first-hand understanding of the demands of military service on the family. In her current role she is engaged in the development and presentation of trainings for behavioral health clinicians to improve their competency in working with both service members and their families. Her professional interests include deployment-related mental health issues, cognitive behavioral therapy, suicide prevention, and the impact of military life on the family.

April Thompson, LCSW, is the Assistant Director of Special Projects for the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. In that capacity, she is responsible for coordinating with stakeholders across the Department of Defense to develop trainings in response to identified needs. Prior to joining CDP, she worked for the Office of Secretary of Defense within the Military Community and Family Policy component leading the Department’s training efforts on prevention and response to domestic abuse and child abuse. Ms. Thompson received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Pepperdine University and her Master of Social Work degree from University of Pennsylvania.

For over 20 years, she has specialized in work with military members and their families. As both a military spouse and clinical social worker, Ms. Thompson is deeply committed to ensuring military service members and their families receive evidence-based, high quality behavioral health care. She has provided services to Army, Navy and Marine Corps families on installations within the US and overseas. Her professional expertise focuses on military culture, suicide prevention, couples and family therapy, and prevention of intimate partner violence and child abuse.

Kevin M. Holloway, Ph.D., is a licensed clinical psychologist working as Director, Online Training, Technology, and Telehealth (OT3) at the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) and Assistant Professor of Medical and Clinical Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. In this capacity, he leads a team of subject matter experts and support staff to develop and present workshops across the world to military and civilian audiences on topics in deployment behavioral health and evidence-based therapies for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Additionally, he leads a team of mental health subject matter experts and technology experts to develop and disseminate technology solutions to improve access to and quality of professional training. This team was recognized as Gold Medal winners in the International Serious Play Awards 2019 for Operation AVATAR and Bronze Medal winners in the International Serious Play Awards 2020 for Build a Bedroom, both interactive provider training environments in Second Life.

Dr. Holloway received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Brigham Young University in 2004, and completed his doctoral internship at the Portland, Oregon Veterans Administration hospital. Prior to joining CDP, Dr. Holloway worked at the Department of Defense’s National Center for Telehealth and Technology, where he led the Center’s Virtual Worlds Program which explored the use of shared virtual environments for immersive, interactive patient education, provider training, and telemental health applications. The program was recognized as a Computerworld Honors Laureate in 2012 for the T2 Virtual PTSD Experience. Dr. Holloway also led or contributed to projects investigating virtual reality exposure (VRE) therapy to treat PTSD, training providers in using VRE, gaming motivation for health applications, and video teleconferencing for telemental health.

Earlier in his career, Dr. Holloway was a staff psychologist at Madigan Army Medical Center, providing care to active-duty soldiers with an emphasis on combat-related PTSD and other anxiety disorders.

Timothy Rogers, PhD., is currently employed by the Henry Jackson Foundation as an Assistant Director for Training and Education at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences Center for Deployment Psychology. He is responsible for managing the development, delivery, and evaluation of a range of clinical training and research programs and serves as a subject matter expert/trainer on evidence-based psychotherapies for Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and Insomnia.

Dr. Rogers received his Ph.D. in 2009 in Counseling Psychology at the University of Akron. He completed his Clinical Psychology Residency at Wilford Hall Medical Center and served over six years as an active-duty psychologist and deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. Dr. Rogers also served for six years as the Associate Program Director for the USAF Clinical Psychology Internship at Wilford Hall in San Antonio Texas. Research interests include help-seeking behaviors, PTSD and insomnia treatment, and training in health service psychology. Dr. Rogers currently serves as an APA accreditation site visitor team chair for DoD and VA Clinical Psychology Internships.

Diana C. Dolan, PhD, CBSM, DBSM is a clinical psychologist serving as an Assistant Director of Training & Education with the Center for Deployment Psychology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Dolan has served at CDP in several capacities since 2012, including in one role as the associate training director of an APA-accredited clinical psychology internship. She currently oversees programs that provide evidence-based training for military-connected patients on a variety of topics. She also develops and presents trainings, and provides consultation services. Dr. Dolan graduated from the University of North Texas with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and earned her doctorate in clinical health psychology and behavioral medicine from the University of North Texas. She completed a clinical psychology internship at Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Dolan served as an active duty psychologist and is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Dr. Dolan’s professional interests include behavioral treatment of health conditions, in particular sleep disorders and within brief-natured primary care settings, clinical psychology training and program evaluation, and military psychology. She is certified in Behavioral Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Sleep Medicine. She is also a diplomate in Behavioral Sleep Medicine from the Board of Behavioral Sleep Medicine.

Jeffrey Mann, Psy.D., is a Senior Military Behavioral Health Psychologist at the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) with the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. Dr. Mann is an SME and trainer in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Suicide Prevention (CBT-SP) as well as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT). He is a Veteran of the United States Air Force (USAF) where he served as a psychologist from 2009 to 2013. In 2013, he deployed to Southwest Asia in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.

Dr. Mann received his bachelor’s degree in computer science from DePauw University and his master’s and doctorate degrees in clinical psychology from the Adler University, Chicago, with a specialization in primary care psychology. He is a 2010 graduate of the Wilford Hall USAF Medical Center Psychology Residency Program. Dr. Mann’s clinical work has focused on the assessment and treatment of trauma-related mental health conditions, anxiety disorders, insomnia and the use of Telebehavioral Health.
