The Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) is offering a 2-day evidence-based workshop for Tri-Service military/DoD/GS behavioral health providers including civilian contractors at Camp Humphreys, South Korea,  on 19-20 March 2018 on the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy Depression (CBT-D) for behavioral health providers working with Service members and Veterans.
Depression in the military will be discussed, as will the theory underlying Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Participants will learn how to conceptualize depressed patients, plan treatment, and utilize both cognitive and behavioral strategies. Participants will also be trained to use the Cognitive Therapy Rating Scale (CTRS) to asses therapist competency. Participants will have the opportunity to both watch role-play videos and practice intervention strategies through their own role-plays.
