Staff Perspective: CDP Presents the new “CDP Presents” Section

Frequent visitors to the CDP website or social media pages may be aware of our monthly webinar series “CDP Presents.” However, for those who are not familiar with this program (and even for those who are!), we’d like to take a few minutes to spotlight this effort.

There are so many important and interesting topics related to the training we provide that we never have time to cover them all. Even if we could create in-depth training for all of these subjects, none of our participants would be able to attend all of them! So in an effort to address both of these factors, we’ve begun to hold a monthly hour to hour-and-a-half long webinar on a relevant topic. These webinars feature CDP staff as well as occasional outside guest speakers discussing subject of interests to behavioral health providers.

The webinars are held via Adobe Connect, which runs within a web browser, so no additional software needs be to downloaded to the attendee’s computer. All that is needed is any browser with Flash, version 11.2 or newer. To test if a computer meets these requirements, simply use this link: http://admin.adobeconnect.com/common/help/en/support/meeting_test.htm.

As an added bonus, for most of these webinars, all participants who attend the webinar and complete a post-event survey and assessment will be eligible for one free CE!

To help showcase this program, we’re proud to unveil our new “CDP Presents” section. On this page, visitors can learn about and register for upcoming webinars, sign up to be notified via email of future events, and even watch recordings of many of the past events that we have held. We’ll be adding even more content to the section in the future, so be sure and stop by often to check it out.

Hopefully, all of this sounds exciting to you! If that’s the case, we encourage you to sign up for and attend our next CDP Presents event, “Behavioral Health Concerns in Military Connected Patients: An Overview for Primary Care Providers.” Dr. Diana Dolan will be presenting this webinar next Wednesday, 14 Oct., from 12 to 1:30 p.m. EDT. In addition to the usual CEs offered, due to the relevant subject matter, we will also be offering CMEs for those interested. We hope to see you there and at future iterations of the CDP Present program!
