The Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) is offering a two-day evidence-based workshop on the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression (CBT-D) for behavioral health providers working with Service members and Veterans. The workshop will be held online via Zoom teleconferencing software, 29-30 October 2019, 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern. Space in this event is limited and registration will close when capacity is reached, even if this is before the registration deadline.
This intensive two-day webinar provides training in the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression for behavioral health providers working with Service members. The webinar will begin with a discussion of depression in the military, followed by a summary of the theory underlying cognitive behavioral therapy. Participants will then learn how to conceptualize depressed patients according to this model, plan treatment, and utilize both cognitive and behavioral strategies. Participants will have the opportunity to watch video examples and practice intervention strategies through their own role plays. Attendance at both days is required. For additional details on course content, click here.
Registration for the course is $45 and comes with 13.5 CEs. (Please note the refund policy at the bottom of the page.) This course will be held online through Zoom.
CE details for this event are still being finalized and this section will be updated once they are in place. The information below is from our previous CBT-D training and is provided for informational purposes only.
Mental healthcare providers are eligible to receive CEs upon successful completion of a post-training survey and knowledge evaulation. CEs for partial participation will not be awarded. Please note that for this workshop we are unable to offer APA continuing education (CE) credits through our CE partner PESI. Instead, PESI is offering Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) CME credits, which are acceptable to most state licensing boards for psychologists. Please be sure to check the requirements for your state and retain any documentation associated with the training. We apologize for any inconvenience. CMEs for medical providers or psychiatrists are not available.
CEs will be provided through PESI, Inc. via email two to four weeks after the training. For specific details, including eligible disciplines and recognizing bodies, please click here or see the "CE DETAILS" button at the top of the page.
