The Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP) is offering a two-day evidence-based workshop on the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression (CBT-D) for behavioral health providers working with Service members and Veterans. The workshop will be held online via Zoom teleconferencing software, 29-30 October 2019, 11 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Eastern. Space in this event is limited and registration will close when capacity is reached, even if this is before the registration deadline.
This intensive two-day webinar provides training in the fundamentals of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Depression for behavioral health providers working with Service members. The webinar will begin with a discussion of depression in the military, followed by a summary of the theory underlying cognitive behavioral therapy. Participants will then learn how to conceptualize depressed patients according to this model, plan treatment, and utilize both cognitive and behavioral strategies. Participants will have the opportunity to watch video examples and practice intervention strategies through their own role plays. Attendance at both days is required. Please note that for this workshop we are unable to offer APA continuing education (CE) credits through our CE partner PESI. Instead, PESI is offering Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) CME credits, which are acceptable to most state licensing boards for psychologists. Please be sure to check the requirements for your state and retain any documentation associated with the training. We apologize for any inconvenience. CMEs for medical providers or psychiatrists are not available.
