The Fiscal Year (FY) 2016 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Section 717(a), requires the Department of Defense to develop a "provider readiness designation" to identify non-Department mental health care providers who have knowledge of military culture and evidence-based mental health treatments that have been approved by the Department. Section 717 (b) requires the Department to establish and update as necessary a publicly available registry of all non-Department mental health care providers with the "provider readiness designation" related to knowledge of military culture and evidence-based treatments.

The goal is to provide Service members, Veterans, and their families the opportunity to select a provider specific to their needs and choose from providers who have additional training and qualifications. Providers who have completed the specialty training required to receive the "provider readiness designation" will be designated with a unique symbol in the provider registry to indicate that they have completed additional training.

PLEASE NOTE: On a monthly basis data of all providers who have completed all courses successfully are sent to DHA and then to the TRICARE health network for which that provider is registered. By registering for this course you consent to have your registration info sent to DHA and then to TRICARE health network.
