CDP Presents: Optimizing Mental Health Treatment with Military-Connected Patients Online via Zoom

18 May, Noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern

Description: In this 90-minute webinar, participants will learn strategies to enhance mental health counseling services for military-connected patients. Utilizing the concept of optimization, interventions to promote clinical efficiency, effectiveness, and satisfaction will be examined. The session will describe how clinical optimization can be accomplished in each of the three phases of treatment (initial, intermediate, and end). Participants will leave with knowledge about the potential benefits of focusing on optimizing clinical care when providing treatment to military-connected patients, and practical action steps to optimize mental health treatment.

Target Audience: For behavioral health/healthcare providers who treat military personnel, Veterans, and their families.

Learning Objectives:
After this webinar, participants will be able to:

  1. Apply at least 3 strategies to promote clinical optimization in the initial treatment phase.
  2. Employ strategies during the intermediate phase of treatment that promote clinical optimization.
  3. Choose end of treatment strategies to optimize clinical care.

System Requirements:
This course will be presented via Zoom teleconferencing software. Zoom is browser-based, however an add-in may need to be installed before attending. Participants can test their computer's capabilities by clicking here (or visiting https://zoom.us/test). We recommend those using Internet connections on government or military locations test their ability to load Zoom in advance of the event to ensure there are no technical difficulties. Microphones and webcams are not necessary, but you will need a computer with working speakers or headphones. If you encounter connection difficulties when using your computer, the Zoom app is also available for iOS and Android devices.
