CDP Presents: How Positive Psychology Can Enhance the Performance and Well-Being of Service Providers Online via Zoom

Description: In this 90-minute webinar, participants will learn three positive psychology concepts and how they can be applied to enhance one’s well-being, resilience, and performance when working with Service members and Veterans. The session will describe the concepts of optimism, gratitude, and active constructive responding. It will review the empirical background on how all three concepts relate to psychological well-being, resilience, performance, and strong relationships. Participants will leave with actionable strategies to apply each concept in their personal and professional life.

After this webinar, participants will be able to:
- Evaluate the background of positive psychology and the empirical support behind the concepts of optimism, gratitude and active constructive responding.
- Formulate coaching questions to develop a more optimistic mindset in oneself and others.
- Develop a gratitude practice to buffer against stress and increase well-being.
- Assess opportunities to apply Active constructive responding (ACR) in personal and professional settings to build trust and strong relationships.
This course will be presented via Zoom teleconferencing software. Zoom is browser-based, however an add-in may need to be installed before attending. Participants can test their computer's capabilities by clicking here (or visiting https://zoom.us/test). We recommend those using Internet connections on government or military locations test their ability to load Zoom in advance of the event to ensure there are no technical difficulties. Microphones and webcams are not necessary, but you will need a computer with working speakers or headphones. If you encounter connection difficulties when using your computer, the Zoom app is also available for iOS and Android devices.
