CDP Presents: Understanding and Managing Anger and Aggression in those with PTSD online via Zoom

26 June, Noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern

Description: This free 90-minute (75-minutes didactics, 15-minutes Q&A) webinar will describe how anger and aggression can be a part of the clinical presentation of PTSD in those who have served in the military. The presenter will describe the rates of anger and aggression in Veterans and Service members and examine how emotion regulation ability is related to aggression in those with PTSD. The presenter will provide practical strategies for assessing anger and aggression in those with PTSD. Finally, the presenter will identify current psychotherapies that are available to help Veterans and Service members decrease their anger and aggression, including reviewing the results of a study that tested a novel three session treatment aimed at reducing aggression.
