CDP Presents: Assessing Readiness in Service Members Who Receive Private-Sector Behavioral Health Care via Zoom
9 July 2025, Noon to 1:30 p.m. Eastern
Description: In recent years, more service members are receiving their behavioral health care from TRICARE- contracted civilian providers in the community (i.e., private-sector care) rather than from military treatment facility providers. Although military providers typically conduct routine assessments of readiness (i.e., ability to deploy and perform military duties without limitations) at every visit, it has been unclear how these assessments are being conducted for service members receiving private-sector behavioral health care. This presentation will educate participants on the different approaches for conducting readiness assessments for service members in the private sector. Participants will also learn about relevant findings from research using interviews with military treatment facility administrators and behavioral health providers to better understand their approaches to readiness assessment for these service members. Strategies for improving readiness assessments for service members receiving private-sector behavioral health care will also be discussed.
Please note: While registration is slated to end once the webinar begins on 9 July 2025, space in this event is limited and registration will close once capacity has been reached, even if this is before the final registration date.
Target Audience: For behavioral health/healthcare providers who treat military personnel, veterans, and their families.
