Course Description
Eating disorders are complex, psychiatric disorders. In preparED, we provide a broad overview aimed at familiarizing students, trainees, and generalist clinicians with basic but essential information. This approximately one hour and ten minute training will cover four modules of information: Assessment, Medical Complications, Treatment and Military Relevant Considerations. After you have completed all four modules, please click the link at the bottom of the page to complete the post-training survey!
Learning Objectives:
- Understand basic principles of recommended psychological treatments for each disorder
- Identify the available psycho-pharmacological options
- Identify medical features associated with eating disorders
- Identify complications of eating disorders
- Learn the type of information to collect
- Ask sensitive follow-up questions
