Brief Description:
Women are joining the US military at an unprecedented rate as their roles in military service are expanded. While some significant barriers for women Service members are being removed, women in the military still face unique challenges during deployment and post-deployment. This presentation will prepare providers to meet the specific needs of our women Service members and Veterans by presenting demographic information, benefits of service, and common deployment and post-deployment challenges.
