Eddie Black
Eddie Black serves as a Project Coordinator for the Star Behavioral Health Providers program (SBHP) at the Center for Deployment Psychology (CDP). He is a retired military veteran with 24 years of combined service in the Marines and the Oregon Army National Guard. His career included roles as an avionics technician on F/A-18 Hornets with deployment to Desert Storm and a Platoon Sergeant in both Operation Iraqi Freedom and missions in Somalia.
After military service, Eddie obtained a B.S. in Psychology and Philosophy from Portland State University. He has worked as a military culture consultant at OHSU, co-facilitated a veteran domestic violence intervention program, assisted in veteran reintegration, and coordinated resilience programs. Eddie has also contributed to training on PTSD, military culture, resilience, and crisis intervention trainings around the state of Oregon for over ten years.
