Shealyn Clinger, MA, MSW, LCSW
Shealyn Clinger, MA, MSW, LCSW, is a licensed clinical social worker and senior behavioral health leader with more than 15 years of experience advancing evidence-based wellness, prevention, and health promotion initiatives across federal, military, clinical, and community settings. Her expertise includes suicide prevention, trauma-informed and equity-centered care, and data-driven program planning and evaluation. She holds a Master of Social Work, cum laude, from Widener University and a Master of Arts in Psychology with a concentration in neuropsychology from George Mason University, and has extensive experience in program evaluation, health communications, and research oversight with the Defense Health Agency and the Defense and Veterans Brain Injury Center.
She currently serves as Data Manager II with the Center for Deployment Psychology at the Henry M. Jackson Foundation, where she supports the evaluation of suicide prevention, wellness, and Department of Defense youth programs. Her work includes developing and refining assessment tools, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data, and translating findings into actionable insights to strengthen program effectiveness, fidelity, and strategic decision-making.
In addition to her federal role, Shealyn is the founder of Cerebral Counseling and Consulting, a neurodiversity-affirming tele-behavioral health practice providing clinical services, consultation, and advocacy support. A frequent presenter on neurodiversity, traumatic brain injury, suicide prevention, and family-centered mental health, she is actively engaged in community leadership and advocacy. She is a neurodiversity advocate with Decoding Dyslexia Prince William County, a leader of a local 4-H club, a supporting member of her local fire department, and the spouse of a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, bringing both professional and personal insight to her work with military-connected communities.
