Welcome to the Second Life Island for Preventing Suicide, or SLIPS!
Join simulated patients Matt, Reyna, and Jim as you explore the Wenzel and Brown National Park. Begin by practicing risk assessment as you hike through the Park. Collaboratively develop a safety plan while exploring the caves. Visit your patient’s home to secure lethal means and meet with their trusted other. Finally, begin relapse prevention in the Ranger’s Station before returning to the Welcome Center. Before you go, secure lethal means in Ella’s house and stop by the Firing Range to learn about firearm safety and how to secure this lethal means.

To access the area, you will need to have a laptop or desktop computer with Second Life Viewer. Please note that Second Life is not compatible with mobile or tablet computers.
To access the environment, please use the following instructions:
- Register for a Second Life account and note your username and password: https://join.secondlife.com/
- Download the Second Life Viewer standalone application: https://secondlife.com/support/downloads/
- Log into the Second Life Viewer application with the login information used when you created your Second Life Account.
- When you are logged into the Second Life Viewer, paste the following location ID into the referenced field: http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/CDP%20HQ/120/5/34
