In this 84-minute webinar, participants will learn more about the neuropsychological presentation of treatment seeking Veterans with comorbid PTSD and history of concussion with persistent cognitive complaints. It will address treatment options in this population including cognitive rehabilitation as well as a hybrid approach (SMART-CPT) that combines Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and components of compensatory cognitive rehabilitation (CogSMART). This webinar will review research regarding the impact of both psychological and physical trauma on cognitive functioning. The session will then describe the CogSMART and SMART-CPT treatments and their practical application in clinical settings. Participants will leave with knowledge about the current evidence regarding treatment of co-morbid conditions following mild/concussive brain injury and the potential benefits of integrated treatment approaches
