PreparED Training

Course Description
Eating disorders are complex, psychiatric disorders. In PreparED, we provide a broad overview aimed at familiarizing students, trainees, and generalist clinicians with basic, but essential information. This approximately 70 minute training will cover four modules of information: Assessment, Medical Complications, Treatment and Military Relevant Considerations. After you have completed all four modules, please click the link at the bottom of the page to complete the post-training survey!

Learning Objectives:

  1. Understand basic principles of recommended psychological treatments for each disorder
  2. Identify the available psycho-pharmacological options
  3. Identify medical features associated with eating disorders
  4. Identify complications of eating disorders
  5. Learn the type of information to collect
  6. Ask sensitive follow-up questions

Research vs. Non-Research Options
There are two ways to complete this training: you can either join our research study or you can complete the "non-research" version. The "non-research" version will direct you towards the training modules, whereas the research version will direct you towards the Research survey. The data collected via the research survey will not include any identifiable information and may be presented at scientific or professional meetings or published in scientific journals. Both the research and non-research options have the opportunity to fill out a post-training survey that will be used for program evaluation which may inform and help future iterations of the PreparED training.
