A Provider's Guide: The Special Needs Journey for Military Families

Description:
This asynchronous on-demand training is intended to help professionals learn more about both the military and civilian systems that support military kids with special needs. Services, resources, and programs are reviewed across education-related supports, the Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP), and healthcare-related supports. Learners explore how these services may be interrelated as they watch how two families utilize programming across systems. To support professionals’ ability to integrate this information into their work with military families with kids with special needs, informational and other resources are offered related to education-related, EFMP, and healthcare-related supports.
