CDP Presents: Strengthening the Homefront - A Tactical Toolkit Targeting Key Factors During Deployment

Deployment is arguably the most challenging of the normative stressors experienced by military families and children, the impact of which has been well-documented to family and child well-being as well as mission readiness. This presentation provides Behavioral Health clinicians with a “tactical toolkit” of ready-to-use, research-based strategies that address key targets of clinical intervention at each phase of the deployment cycle. Inherent to the discussion is how to adapt strategies to address family strengths and preferences from a cultural, racial/ethnic, and belief system perspective.
