Clinician Administered PTSD Scale for DSM-5 (CAPS-5): An Overview - Apr. 8, 2015 - By Diana Dolan, Ph.D.
In this webcast, lead by Dr. Diana Dolan, participants will be introduced to the CAPS-5. Participants will leave with an understanding of the benefits and importance of formal, structured assessment in determination of a PTSD diagnosis. We will provide an overview of the background of CAPS-5 and the changes in PTSD criteria from DSM-IV to DSM-5 that in turn led to the development of the CAPS-5. We will also explore in detail aspects of both CAPS-5 administration and scoring. Finally, we conclude with some general tips and cross-cultural aspects of PTSD assessment.
