Lessons Learned for Provisioning and Delivering U.S. Military Behavioral Health Care, 2003-2013 cover

The Center for Deployment Psychology commissioned RAND to conduct interviews with experts to capture lessons learned that could help prepare future military behavioral health providers. These experts were interviewed about the significant changes in the provision and delivery of behavioral health care in the U.S. military from 2003–2013.

In this report, authors examined how the military health system responded to the mental health demands of service members in operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, what actions worked and what did not work, as well as what lessons should be carried forward to prepare providers and the health system for future wartime needs. Click here to take a look at the report’s findings.
