CHRONIC PAIN RESOURCES
In addition to the publicly-accessible resources below, as part of this month's Chronic Pain spotlight, we have created a brand-new section with a variety of handouts, documents, and other tools to assist with the treatment of Chonic Pain. It's exclusively available in the CDP's Provider Portal section of this site. If you have previously attended a CDP-led training in any EBP, you should already have access. If not, we invite you to register for an upcoming EBP today!
- Motivational Interviewing: Motivational Interviewing is a therapeutic approach intended to increase a patient's intrinsic motivation to make a behavior change. MI does not replace an EBP, but rather serves as an adjunct to help a patient decide to engage in the EBP treatment and then to continue to enhance the patient's motivation.
- Motivational Techniques and Skills: Examples, tips and advice on motivational techniques for coaching/counseling.
- Stages of Change: A graphic displaying the Stages of Change.
- Consultation: CDP offers consultation services for providers who have completed an EBP workshop through the CDP. Learn more about this important service here.
