This asynchronous training provides an overview of innovative ways technology is being used to enhance behavioral health care outside of direct clinical encounters. In addition to the benefits of these technological advancements, limitations will be addressed. Additionally, learners will be presented with information about provider training and education opportunities using technology for teleconsultation and synchronous and asynchronous virtual training. Together, we will explore innovative technologies such as remote patient monitoring, online digital tools, mental health mobile applications, provider training in Second Life (an avatar-based virtual world), and Project ECHO (Agarwal et al., 2022; American Psychiatric Association, 2023; Armstrong et al., 2017; Aungst et al., 2022; Badawy et al., 2017)

Instructional Format
This course is available online as an interactive, reading based asynchronous webinar, including a combination of reading, videos and activities. Participants will complete the course and take an online post-test.
