What is the difference between The Summer Institute and The Winter Institute?

What are the Eligibility Requirements?
To serve as an active-duty officer in the military, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Age: Must meet the age criteria set by the respective military branch.
- Citizenship: U.S. citizenship is required.
- Accreditation: Must be enrolled in or have graduated from an APA- or CSWE-accredited college or university.

Can I attend both The Summer Institute and The Winter Institute?
Students are welcome to apply to either program, but they cannot attend both as the course content and key objectives overlaps.
If I am not accepted to The Summer Institute or The Winter Institute, may I reapply?
Yes, if a student is not accepted or is accepted but unable to attend, they may apply or reapply for a future session of The Summer Institute or The Winter Institute.
What are the hours for the Pathways program?
While exact schedules may vary, the general hours for both The Winter Institute and The Summer Institute are as follows:
- Winter Institute: Students must be available daily from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Eastern Time for three days. Each day includes a one-hour lunch break and several 15-minute breaks.
- Summer Institute: Students must be available daily from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern Time for three days. Each day includes a one-hour lunch break and multiple 15-minute breaks.
Will I receive continuing education credits (CEs), a certificate, or a recommendation upon completing the training?
No, we do not provide CEs, certificates, or recommendations upon completion of the training.
How often are the training courses offered?
Course availability varies:
- Winter Institute: Typically held during the first week of January.
- Summer Institute: Usually scheduled for the second week of July.
The application period varies for each session. Applicants may apply during the designated application window for their desired course.
