The percentage of Veterans who participated in the 10th annual Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America (IAVA) Survey who reported having "a service-connected mental health injury." 75% of those reported that they are seeking care for that injury.
The survey was issued over a three-week period in December and January to all IAVA member veterans. Over 1700 veterans responded.
Top 3 Reasons Troops and Veterans Not Getting Care
- The stigma of seeking help is too great
- They have access to care, but not quality care
- They have access but are not seeking care
