CDP News: Mar. 28, 2014
Happy Friday and welcome to this week’s edition of CDP News! We like to use this space to review recent happenings in and around the Center for Deployment Psychology, while also looking ahead to upcoming events. We’ll start things off this time around with a few words on our Regional 1-Week Civilian Training events. Next Friday, 4 April, is the final day to register for our Mid-Atlantic event in Washington, D.C. 14-18 April. Today is the final day to receive a full refund on any registration cancellations. Speaking of our 1-week events, next week we’ll be opening up registration for our Central Plains Regional 1-Week Civilian Training to be held in St. Louis, MO 9-13 June.
On the training front, we had two different sessions of our University Counseling Center Core Competency program this week. We visited both Clemson University in South Carolina and the University of Georgia. Next week, we’ll be headed to St. Cloud State University in St. Cloud, MN on Tuesday.
We recently reached registration capacity on both of our upcoming online Prolonged Exposure training events, via Second Life and Adobe Connect. We are still offering spots on our waiting list for the Second Life event. We’ll also be adding more online events to our training calendar in the near future, so keep an eye out!
In the blog this week, in Staff Perspective we shone a spotlight on the fact that March is Brain Injury Awareness Month. As always, the Research Update is well-worth a few minutes of your time. It’s a great collection of the latest journal articles, news and useful links from around the Web.
That’s all for this time. Have a great weekend and we’ll see you next week!
