The 2013 suicide rate among active duty Service members, according to the recently released Department of Defense Quarterly Suicide Report Calendar Year 2013 -- 4th Quarter (PDF), issued by the Defense Suicide Prevention Office. Among members of the Reserve component, the rate was 23.4 per 100,000, and among National Guard members, 28.9 per 100,000.
