The percentage of workers in private industry who "had access to paid time off for military commitments in 2017," according to a recent post on the the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) blog, The Economics Daily.
"That compares with 33 percent in 2012 and 49 percent in 2007," the blog post notes. The share of workers offered this benefit varies across industries. Access to paid military leave ranged from 6 percent in the accommodation and food services industry to 66 percent in finance and insurance.
