4.3%

The percentage of 1,084 U.S. Air Force drone operators who "endorsed a pattern of symptoms of moderate to extreme level of severity" of PTSD, according to a new study in the Journal of Anxiety Disorders, An Analysis of Post-Traumatic Stress Symptoms in United States Air Force Drone Operators.

The researchers point out that although this is lower than PTSD rates in military personnel returning from deployment (10% to 18%), it is higher than the "incidence rates" of drone operators officially reported in electronic medical records (1%).
