The percentages of anxiety disorders among American adults who, respectively, did not complete high school, and those with at least an undergraduate college degrees. These data points come from a recently released brief by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Center for Behavioral Health Statistics and Quality -- Adults with Less Education Most Likely to Have a Past Year Anxiety Disorder (PDF).

Welcome to this week’s edition of CDP News! We like to use this space to review recent happenings in and around the Center for Deployment Psychology, while also looking ahead to upcoming events. Staff Perspective: June is PTSD Awareness Month

In 2010, Congress designated the 27th of June as Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) Awareness Day. This has now expanded to the month of June as a whole. Even though more of the public has become aware of PTSD in recent years, there is still much work to be done. Many people still have only a vague understanding of what PTSD is, its causes, symptoms and potential treatments.
