Staff Perspective: CPT Session Notes Are Here!

Staff Perspective: CPT Session Notes Are Here!

Andrew Santanello, Psy.D.

It is my pleasure to announce a brand new resource that is now available on our website: Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) Session Notes! Drs. Lefkowitz, Nofziger, and myself have been working hard for the better part of the last year to put together a series of brief videos that review the key agenda items and interventions for each session in the CPT protocol. We chose to use a platform that allowed us to present the material in a unique and engaging manner (spoiler alert: each video includes a cartoon version of yours truly).

These videos are designed to complement the CPT manual (Resick, Monson, & Chard, 2016) and will be most useful to clinicians who have completed an intensive, two-day CPT workshop and expert consultation. (For more information about post-training consultation, click here or log into the Provider Portal.) It is our hope that they will help new and seasoned CPT therapists alike stay on track as they strive to find the right balance between flexibility and fidelity when delivering CPT to their clients.

At launch (which is, umm, right now), CPT Session Notes will be available for phases one through three. However, notes for phases four through six will be available soon, so check back often for updates. Are you still reading this? Stop IMMEDIATELY and click here to begin watching CPT Session Notes right now! As always, we'd love to hear any feedback or suggestions you may have.
