Staff Perspective: What’s Ahead at the CDP in 2022?

It’s that time where we all reflect on 2021 (what a year!) and prepare for the year ahead. For me that also involves the routine, yet important task of renewing my professional insurance. A key element in that renewal process is to review the continuing education trainings I’ve completed. As I reflect on these professional activities, it also stirs excitement about things to come. Below I will share several new and continuing initiatives within CDP. As you professionally wrap up 2021 and move into 2022, use this blog as a guide to highlight CDP events of interest.

My hope is that you find CDP to be your professional home for high-quality, culturally mindful evidence-based psychotherapy training and education in military behavioral health. We would love to connect with you in 2022!

2nd Annual EBP Conference: On 21 April 2022, CDP will host the second annual EBP Conference for behavioral health providers from all disciplines who deliver evidence-based care or train providers implementing EBPs. Pathways to Military Internships: The Summer Institute: CDP will host the eighth iteration of the Summer Institute on 13-17 June 2022. The Summer institute is a five-day course established to raise doctoral students’ awareness of what it would be like to serve as a psychologist in the Armed Forces and to increase their competitiveness for a military internship. You can find out more information about the Summer Institute and apply here: https://deploymentpsych.org/pathways-to-military-internships

Second Life: Virtual Learning Second Life is a persistent, virtual world. In addition to the CDP virtual education center in Second Life, we also host real world training environments in the areas of sleep, PTSD and (COMING SOON) suicide prevention.
